Sheryl Underwood, a American comedian and television host most well-known as anchor of The Talk, a popular talk show broadcast on daytime television. Sheryl was born and brought up in Little Rock. Sheryl is a member of a troubled family. Sheryl spent most of her childhood taking care of her sister Frankie and her polio-infected sister. As a teenager, she experienced an uneasy relationship with her mom. Sheryl states that in one instance her mother stabbed her father because he was being too close with her. Sheryl was a college graduate when she, joined the army. However, her love for comedy was always there. In 1989, she was the first woman to make the finals in the Miller Lite Comedy Search contest. She started her TV professional career in 1992, when she was a regular performer for the HBO comedy series Def Comedy Jam. In 2000, she was host of The show Oh Drama! She has appeared as a host on The Talk since 2011. Also, she's been the fictional character in TV shows such as Bulworth Nicki and Beauty Shop.
