Harry Edward Styles is an English singer, songwriter, and a musician. He was part of One Direction. Born at Holmes Chapel (Cheshire), England on February 1, 1994, he's the son of Des Styles, and Anne Cox. Harry Styles was a student at Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School, where three classmates of his were part of a group called White Eskimo. They won the Battle of Bands 2009 thanks to its excellent presentation. Even though he had an interest in music the man also had a dream of becoming a lawyer or physiotherapist. He was employed in a local bakery part-time to help the family with financial issues. As of the year 2010, Harry Styles presented audition for The X Factor where he performed the song Is not She Lovely by Stevie Wonder and was selected. His band was forced to disband due to the fact that they were selected. Nicole Scherzinger, the jury part of The X Factor suggested Harry Styles become part of the group One Direction with Liam Payne Zayn Mlik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne. The group's creation began in 2010 and the five youths were funded by Simon Cowell. The group sang songs such as My Life Would Suck Without You by Kelly Clarkson and Total Eclipse of the Heart from Bonnie Tyler so the group were among the hopefuls to win the contest. They were however in third place behind Rebecca Ferguson, and the winner Matt Cardle. Even though Harry Styles and his group failed to win the competition, Cowell made a payment of 2 million pounds for One Direction to sign with the Syco music label.
