Amanda Blake
Amanda Blake, born as Beverly Louise Neill, was an incredibly popular American actress. The most well-known role she played was being the actress who played actress Miss Kitty Russell in the TV series 'Gunsmoke'. She was also known for the roles she played in shows on television like The Red Skelton Show,' "Tattletales," as well as The Edge of Night. In addition, she was a part of dozens of films like 'Stars In My Crown' 'Duchess of Idaho', 'Cattle Town', 'Miss Robinson Crusoe'in "About Mrs. Leslie', 'The Adventures of Hajji Baba', 'High Society', and 'The Boost'. Blake had been a telephone operator by profession she was an animal lover. Along with Frank Gilbert, she was the first to successfully breed cheetahs in captive. American actress Sheila E. Gilbert was a co-founder of Arizona Animal Welfare League. Blake was also a committee member for the Humane Society of the United States. Blake was inducted into the Hall of Great Western Performers of the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. It was also the American Cancer Society also gave Blake the Courage Award.
